Parent Council

Welcome to the Seacoast Classical Parent Council! The Parent Council (PC) is a group of dedicated volunteers from the Seacoast Classical Academy (SCA) community focused on bringing together families, educators, and our school community to support a vibrant learning environment for our scholars. Through events, volunteering, and collaboration, we work to strengthen connections, enhance scholar experiences, and ensure every voice is heard. We invite all members of the SCA community to get involved, share your ideas, and help make a difference this school year!

The PC meets on the third Tuesday of each month from 6-8pm in the multipurpose room at SCA.

The PC is established under the authority of the Seacoast Classical Academy Board of Trustees.

What We Do

The Parent Council is proud to offer After-School Enrichment Activities (EAs) with the support of family volunteers. In 2025 five EAs were offered allowing over 60 scholars to expand their horizons, build relationships, and have fun doing it!

The PC hosts a variety of special events throughout the year that bring our school community together and create lasting memories for families. From our annual Back to School BBQs that kicked off the year with great food and fun, to the scholar favorite Mother-Son Game Night and Father-Daughter Dance, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Each event is made possible by the creativity and dedication of our parent volunteers, and they serve as wonderful opportunities to connect, celebrate, and strengthen our sense of community.

To learn more about ways to support upcoming events join us at an upcoming PC Meeting or reach out to PCPres@seacoastclassical.org

Together with the SCA Board of Trustees Fundraising Committee, the PC works to support initiatives that enhance our students’ learning experience and strengthen our school community. Together, we plan and carry out a variety of fundraisers throughout the year that help fund classroom resources, scholar activities, facilities upgrades and more. The close partnership between the PC and Board of Trustees Fundraising Committee ensures that every fundraising effort aligns with the Academy’s priorities and that the collective generosity of our families and community has the greatest possible impact.

Recent fundraising efforts supported include Playground upgrades to the elementary outdoor area, a Gaga Pit installed in the middle/high school outdoor space, scholarships for the 8th Grade Washington DC field trip, a dunk tank that was the highlight of Field Day 2025 and a fantastic week of celebrating the SCA Staff during Staff Appreciation Week.

Get Involved!

The PC is always looking for new members! New members can join by attending a PC meeting. We meet on the third-Tuesday of every month in the multi-purpose room at SCA.
