Dedicated to academic excellence, Seacoast Classical Academy is a public school chartered by the New Hampshire State Board of Education. We welcome both NH scholars, for whom there is no tuition, and tuition-paying ($9500) out-of-state scholars. We offer a nationally renowned classical curriculum that embraces literacy, mathematics, humanities, sciences, music and the arts, foreign languages and physical education. We focus on academics, and engage our families in education and the life of the Academy. Hear what parents are saying.
We are now accepting applications on a rolling basis for the 2025–2026 school year. We have more than 200 young scholars enrolled in grades K–9 with additional grade levels being added until we serve K-12. We are located in a 18,000-square-foot schoolhouse with outdoor play spaces amid woods in a quiet residential neighborhood close to Route 125 in Newton, a town in southeastern New Hampshire. Classical education is good for young scholars and for our community. Whereas conventional education tends to teach WHAT to think as prescribed by others, classical education teaches HOW to think for oneself — a deeper and more broad-minded approach that integrates the three elements of a classical education:
The raw material of learning that forms the foundation of a content-rich classical curriculum. Young scholars enjoy learning and have a high capacity for it.
The synthesis of knowledge into a network of connected concepts. Through this process, we impart not only skills, but also a broad understanding of humanity and nature.
Learning to create new knowledge and understanding, and to persuade others. In classical education, our young scholars develop intellectual independence.
